Earlier interpretations of transcendent places

These sketches were created in 2010-2011 with graphite and ink. All images are generated from memory and invented. I was inspired by the abundance of historical artworks that focused on ancient roman and greek ruins. I was also moved by this idea of futuristic technology often portrayed in works of science fiction. To combine my own ideas of the futuristic with my notion of ancient ruins, enabled me to find an alternate history in these works.
